Welcome to by Matiesse; a COSMOS Certified Organic Skincare Brand with a commitment to providing BASE products that complement one another and enhance your natural beauty. Our journey began with a simple idea - to create skincare solutions that harness the power of nature without harming our insides. ‘by Matiesse’ began in 2023 and was established with the first product release on the 22nd of September in 2024.
We are dedicated to offering a range of products that are not only effective but also sustainable, and free from harmful chemicals. At by Matiesse, we believe in the power of nature to nurture and protect your skin. We are excited to share our story with you, and help you maintain that youthful base glow!

Our mission & story

As a brand we look at skincare as not only a clean, moisturising, anti-aging routine, but also as a form of self-care. When people say, ‘you are what you eat’, we believe there is the same truth in saying ‘you are what you put on your skin’. Our skin absorbs 60 to 70% of what we choose to put onto it and takes 26 seconds to absorb a chemical into our bloodstream. Thus, it is our brands priority to provide quality to our consumers. There is a common notion that certified organic is not affordable enough. This is something that our brand is conscious of, and we have worked hard to ensure that the brands products are of quality and give a feel of luxury to the consumer, yet still of affordable value. It is important to us that our products are genuine for our community and tested on sensitive, and normal skin types so that the formulations cater for both.

Some words from our founder

Hi, my name is Matiesse and I am 23-years-old! I have a fond passion for all things that incorporate a healthy lifestyle. During my younger years and into adulthood I have had an ongoing struggle with skin inflammation solely on my face. As a result, I have always struggled to find a base brand that doesn’t irritate my skin. This struggle has been ongoing dating back to 2016. I have had minor to major breakouts over the years and have never found a full product range that truly complimented my skin. I personally found that the more products I used on my face specifically, the more my skin would irritate. Yet if I striped my skincare, it would cause more flare ups and become worse as well. Thus, it became important to me to find a middle ground. This brand was founded on one main principle. This principle being “less is more”. For some time, I gained some education in areas of herbal health. I was intrigued to learn how herbs can aid many issues regarding topical and internal skin health, and I made it a priority to incorporate herbal qualities into each ongoing topical formula. Each product has been formulated with a high percentage of certified organic ingredients and some herbal components.
Growing up surrounded by the health food industry through a small family business I have always been conscious of my health. I have a passion and love for this lifestyle. Due to this background, I have gained a vast awareness of the benefits to certified organic products. Certified Organic is defined as the growth process of food/ingredients being free from human-made fertilisers, growth regulators, pesticides, and GMOs. As a brand I have made a conscious effort to implement the best quality, certified organic and all-natural ingredients into our skincare products to attain the most genuine results.
I believe that it is also important to normalise and beautify our skin imperfections as there is a story behind all our marks.

Terms & Conditions

  • Returns Policy

    We are happy to offer a store credit on items that are returned to us unopened and unused, provided that we are notified via matiesseskin@gmail.com within 21 days of receipt and the item must be returned within 7 days of contacting us. Include the email reference from our team that gives approval for the return in your parcel. Once returned allow up to 14 days for processing the store credit or exchange. 
    We do not offer any returns on free products.
    Products must be purchased using one of the payment options available on our website to be eligible for a return or store credit.
    *Please not that MATIESSE PTY LTD are not responsible for any return shipping costs. 

  • What happens if I am unhappy with the product I purchase or I change my mind?

    We want all our customers to be completely happy with their purchase. If you wish to return an item that you have purchased, please send an email to matiesseskin@gmail.com within 21 days of receiving your purchase. Please be advised that proof of purchase must be provided. The item/s will need to be shipped back to us unopened and unused within the 7 days after contacting us. A store credit will be issued to you (in the form of a gift voucher) once we have received the item/s and inspected them. The store credit can be used for online purchases only. 
    *Shipping costs will not be refunded by MATIESSE PTY LTD.
    *We recommend using a trackable postage method when returning item/s. MATIESSE PTY LTD will not be held liable for parcels lost in transit.

  • My item/s arrived broken or faulty!

    If your item/s arrived broken or faulty take an immediate photo of how they arrived and email matiesseskin@gmail.com with the photo and order details. We will guide you through the returns process. For any item/s that arrived broken or faulty we will provide a store credit (in the form of a gift voucher) or replacement if we are notified within 7 days of receiving the item/s. 
    *Do not dispose of the item until we have had the chance to chat with you.

  • What if I enter the wrong delivery address or order details/products?

    In the event that you have incorrectly entered information during checkout please reach out to matiesseskin@gmail.com asap to update information or cancel the order. Due to all orders and shipping labels being automated we cannot guarantee that our team will be able to correct the order prior to dispatch. 
    MATIESSE PTY LTD will not be held responsible for incorrect details entered at the time of ordering online, including an incorrect delivery address.
    *Please ensure that shipping and order details are double checked prior to checkout and that correct postcodes, and company names (if the address is an office building/complex) are added to avoid your package being sent back to us. 

  • I have been sent the wrong item!

    In the circumstance that you have been sent the wrong order, please take an immediate photo of your order as it arrived and email matiesseskin@gmail.com with the image attached and order details. We will guide you through the returns process. Please email us within 7 days of receiving your order. 

  • Delivery

    All parcels must be signed for.
    Please note: MATIESSE PTY LTD accepts no responsibility for lost or missing orders if you have given permission for the parcel to be left unattended without being signed for. Please ensure to collect your parcel from the designated Post Office or Parcel Locker within the provided timeframe to avoid parcels being returned to us, as additional shipping costs may occur.
